Welcome
The Seattle Gambia Association was founded
1997 with a mission to promote cross cultural understanding between Gambians and
the local Communities in the greater Seattle area. In the Gambia, the
association is dedicated to supplement and support existing development
programs, provide hospital supplies and equipment to health care facilities and
to also play a key role in the ongoing HIV/AIDS public awareness campaign
programs. SeaGam is also committed, have and continue to provide financial
relief to needy students via a scholarship award program based on merit
Mission
- Provide financial support to ongoing HIV/AIDS awareness programs in The Gambia
- Provide tuition relief by means of awarding Scholarship tp needy students in The Gambia.
- Provide Support to The Gambia Red Cross Rehabilitation project by sending wheel chairs to The Gambia.
- promote cross-cultural understanding between Gambians and the local community.
- provide volunteer and educational opportunities and contribute to the local community undertakings.
Seattle Gambian Association's Mission is to provide support to existing health and rural development programs, and Hospitals in the Gambia and to also provide relief to students by form of scholarship awards based on merit. To realize this, SGA has positioned itself to focus in the following areas:
